Energy Medicine

I have talked a little bit about energy in some of my other posts. It has become such a part of our everyday lives, I forget sometimes that often times people who might read these posts might not have an understanding of what I am talking about. That's ok, up until the end of last year, I was not familiar with what an influence energy has in every aspect of our lives.

When Jeff began to get sick last fall, I was very much guided to learn about energy. At first I was a bit hesitant in even beginning to study what I perceived to be a little "wierd". I wasn't sure how it might fit into my very Christian based belief system. But I was led to read Carol Tuttle's book, Remembering Wholeness which opened up a completely new way of thinking for me. Her book helped me understand how energy is involved in the very laws of the universe, especially the law of creation and the law of attraction. It also helped me understand what the statement "as a man thinketh, so is he" means in our every day lives.

Bascially it helps us take total responsibility for our lives by understanding that at some level we attract into our lives exactly what we get. The greatest gift we can give ourselves is understanding that we have the power within ourselves to consciously create what we want in our lives rather than just getting a hodge podge of random experiences. Many people attract into their lives exactly what they don't want because they put so much time, effort, thought, worry, and energy on all the things they don't want.

Jeff recognizes that even what he is experiencing right now is a result of many, many years of not listening to his body, of putting a lot of the energy of fear into secrets. There is no blame or judgement here, only complete acceptance of the truth. By so doing, we both recognize that we now have the ability to change our future by consciously focusing on what we want, which is one of the reasons I write this blog the way I do.

It is a bit more challenging for Jeff who has a difficult time concentrating on anything, but he continues to try very hard to have a good attitude, to see his body as if it is already whole, to be grateful fo everything that he has and to change his thoughts now.

I cannot tell you how these new understandings have completely changed our lives. It does not in any way lessen how we feel about the power of Jesus Christ and his atonement. In many ways, it just adds a new, more powerful dimension on how to access that in our own lives.

Each day we try to live in a higher state of energy such as love, compassion, and joy rather than live in the lower states of fear, worry, resentment, and anger because what we know what we want in our lives and we know that we have the power to create it. It might take some time for it to be manifest in the physical realm, but all things are created in the spiritual and mental fields first.

For us each day is a miracle unfolding. The joy is not in the final outcome, it is in the process. It is knowing that we truly can create whatever life we want and that we are meant to have joy, even when there are difficult challenges. It is up to us.

It is up to you too.

Chris
